Nifty In-Line Caption Design

NASA's website (at least one of them) has taken an image-captioning approach that y'all should take a look at.

Frankly, I'm not wild about using gray for the caption's color (when you could use something more assertive), but the general idea seems very cool to me. What I like about it is its simplicity: you would just style the caption paragraph, align the <img> tag right or left, and you're done. This approach would work well whether the captions are short or long (even very long would work).

Needless to say, an integrated solution that displays captions drawn from image metadata would be better (eliminating the risk of separating the image file from its caption). But if you're looking for a quick-but-clean solution to write right into HTML, this is a winner.
